The Go for Gold scheme works predominantly on the distribution and collection of branded envelopes to the supporters (prospectors) within your organization, school or circle of family and friends. Because the scheme works on the collection of gold as an alternative to cash, It can run as an independent fundraise or be incorporated to run alongside or included as an add on to any other fundraising activity you may be planning. Once you have decided to join the gold rush, we will advise you on how the GO for GOLD scheme can be incorporated into your fundraising goals over the coming months
Just as everybody has cash in their pocket, everybody has a little bit of unwanted or broken jewellery, sitting In a jewellery box or in a little pot on a shelf.
Most people put a low value on the broken jewellery that they have, after all what use is one earing, a chain or bracelet that is snapped, or a ring with a missing stone. Most mass produced jewellery is more expensive to repair than to buy new.
A small hoop earing 10- 15mm in diameter is approximately one gram in weight. Its cash value to your organization or charity would be approximately £4.50. An average returned envelope contains six grams of gold and carries a value of £36.00
Fundraising couldn’t be easier than when it:
"I cannot believe how easy it was to make £1000 with virtually no effort
by the staff"
